The Vickers machine gun was a British, water-cooled .303-inch heavy machine gun used extensively by the British Army and Commonwealth forces during WWII. Its main role was sustained defensive fire, protecting positions and providing long-range support for infantry.

Despite being designed decades earlier, it remained highly valued because it was extremely reliable and could fire continuously for long periods.

Interesting fact: A well-served Vickers could fire hundreds of thousands of rounds without stopping for the barrel to cool, the water jacket prevented overheating. Some guns were even used to fire indirectly at targets they couldn't see, using maps and calculated trajectories.

Any garment should be washed inside out and at 30 degrees or less. Line Dry Only. Tumble drying is not recommended for any of our garments as the tumble-drying action of agitation and heat can shorten the life of the garment considerably.
